Come along and see how we have achieved a “normal” comfortable living environment which is totally off grid. Our holiday cottage is not connected to mains water or power. We successfully host holidays throughout the holiday season. The rainwater harvesting system via the heatstore is used to provide underfloor heating throughout and the building is energy efficient and well insulated. Solar powered lithium ion batteries provide the power to run the cottage and the pumped water system. The property has 2 bedrooms both en suite and has a washing machine, full kitchen and Satelite TV. The roof slates are made from recycled tyres. A generator is available to run if the solar is not sufficient.
Weekend Breaks available off season where you can stay overnight and experience for yourself . We will show you the systems Saturday morning that we have installed and you will be given access to the live data from the power system to monitor usage and run the backup generator if required.
